The question of where vegans get their protein is probably one of the most frequently asked questions by people who eat meat. We’ve been sold the idea that the best source of protein is from meat, or rather, from a sick and suffering animal that is being raised for purpose of selling cheap food to the masses. The truth is, as long as vegans eat a reasonably varied diet and consumes a sufficient amount of calories then they will get enough protein.
Just about all vegan foods contain some protein, soy beans are the best source of plant-based protein. Other plant based sources include whole grains, oatmeal, beans, peanut butter, brown rice, peas, lentils, soy milk, nuts, seeds and vegan burgers. If plants are good enough for gorillas and elephants, then why wouldn’t eating a plant-based diet be good enough for humans?
