Simple Two Ingredient DIY Face Scrub

Why spend crazy amounts of money on beauty products when you could make a simple face scrubs using items from your kitchen? All you need is baking soda and olive oil (you could also use coconut oil).

I keep these ingredients separate until I’m ready to use them. I have never mixed them ahead of time, though I’m sure that you probably could. I keep a little container of each in the shower and when I’m ready to polish, I wet my clean face and put a pea-sized amount of baking soda in the palm of my hand and then mix in the same amount of olive/coconut oil. (So if you try mixing ahead of time use equal parts of each).

Using my fingertips, I rub gently all over my face in a circular motion, everywhere but my eyes. Then rinse off and pat dry. Voila!

DIY Pumpkin, Sugar, and Cinnamon Exfoliating Body Scrub

Pumpkin is good for more than just eating! This easy recipe for a pumpkin exfoliating body scrub will leave you feeling great.

Ingredients: 

– 1/2 cup cooked or canned pumpkin, pureed
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a medium to large size bowl. When in the shower, or the tub, rub the mixture onto your body with a wet washcloth. Do not put this mixture on your face. Rinse the mixture completely off with warm water when done.
