LYFE Kitchen To Open Second Location In LA

LYFE (short for Love Your Food Everyday) a health-focused fast-casual concept founded by a former McDonald’s executive, is scheduled to open a second location in Los Angeles. LYFE features a menu of entrees that contain fewer than 600 calories each and are reduced in sodium, plus some organic and sustainably raised ingredients.

As in Palo Alto location, the Los Angeles restaurant will be built as sustainably as possible, using recycled materials and renewable or responsibly managed resources. The LA location will be located in Culver City and is expected to open by late 2012 or early 2013.

Seems like LYFE is a perfect fit for LA living!

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi to Open Vegan Restaurant in LA

Ellen DeGeneres recently launched a ‘Going Vegan With Ellen’ website, and she may be serving up vegan food to LA too. With her (gorgeous) wife Portia de Rossi, the two are reportedly planning to open a new vegan restaurant in the San Fernando Valley. The couple is investing in the new restaurant with Chrissie Hynde and producer Steve Bing.  Vegan chef Tal Ronnen will be cooking up the cruelty free menu. Yum!
