By now, I think it’s safe to say that the entire animal rights community is aware of the critically acclaimed documentary, Blackfish. You can now watch the movie online for free which is fantastic for allowing this important film to be seen be everyone.

“Killer whales at SeaWorld are looked at and the truth about their conditions and abuse are shown in the new documentary. Director Gabriela Cowperthwaite went inside SeaWorld to show how Orcas turn on their handlers and how the animals suffer from being shipped around the world and treated abusively.”
Have you seen Blackfish? The film is heartbreaking (listening to the mothers cry for their babies!) but it’s also a very important film that ensures my decision to never support marine parks.
“Blackfish,” the documentary that sheds light on orcas in captivity, is opening eyes and hearts everywhere. It has even inspired a rewrite in the much-anticipated “Finding Nemo” sequel, “Finding Dory.”
The Pixar film is still in production, and rewrites and tweaks are common occurrences for animated flicks in the works. According to The New York Times, the original script included a scene at an aquatic park, but the “Blackfish”-inspired tweak has changed the story so the sea characters have the option to leave the park.
“Finding Dory” has a scheduled release date of November 25, 2015.
